Data Deletion Policy

Effective from: February 01, 2026

1. Introduction

We respect your "Right to be Forgotten." This policy explains how you can request deletion of your personal data and what happens to your content when an account or memorial is closed.

2. How to Delete Your Data

You have full control over your information. You can initiate data deletion through the following methods:

  • Account Dashboard: You can delete your entire account and all associated memorials directly from your profile settings. This action is immediate and moves your data to the "Pending Deletion" status.
  • Manual Request: If you cannot access your account, you can request data deletion by contacting us through our official Contact Form. We will process your request within 72 hours after identity verification.

3. Types of Data Deleted

When an account is deleted, the following information is permanently removed from our active databases:

  • Personal Information: Email, names, encrypted passwords, and social login links (Google/Facebook).
  • Memorial Content: Biographies, photos, video links, and GPS coordinates.
  • Sensitive Data: Digital Testament instructions and private document archives (Legacy/Infinity plans).
  • Payment Records: Internal wallet history and transaction logs (except where retention is required by law for tax purposes).

4. Data Retention and Backups

To prevent accidental loss, we follow a staged deletion process:

  • Immediate Action: Upon deletion, all content is instantly hidden from public view and search engines.
  • Backup Removal: Data remains in our encrypted backups for up to 180 days to ensure system integrity. After this period, it is purged permanently and cannot be recovered.
  • DNA Data: Biological data records associated with Infinity plans are destroyed within 180 days of a confirmed deletion request.

5. Automatic Deletion

Data may be automatically deleted under the following circumstances:

  • Plan Expiration: For Basic (10 years) and Legacy (100 years) plans, if the subscription is not renewed within the 180-day grace period after expiration.
  • Inactivity: If an account remains inactive for more than 2 years and no "Digital Testament" contact has been designated.

6. Third-Party Data

Since we do not store your credit card information, you must manage your data on third-party payment platforms (like PayPal) according to their respective privacy policies.

7. Contact for Deletion Requests
