A memorial can also be saved in a hidden or reserved state. In this case, the page:

• Is not accessible to other users of the site.
• Is not indexed by search engines such as Google or Bing.
• Can be used to safely gather information, prepare a family archive, or reserve a memorial for a living person.

Yes. Step-by-step text and video tutorials are available on the website. If you do not have the time or technical skills to do everything yourself, the RIP.GD team may assist with the technical work, including photo restoration, content preparation, page design, and QR code generation.

The availability and cost of assisted services depend on the service requested and the applicable plan or order.

Creating a Basic memorial is free of charge. Additional services, storage, design features, and digital legacy features may be available depending on your selected memorial plan and the services included with it.

You can upload materials that help preserve and tell a person's life story, subject to applicable file types, storage limits, content rules, and plan features:

• Media: Photos, videos, video links, and background music where supported.
• Texts: Biographies, family stories, memories, and messages from loved ones.
• Documents: Personal archives, awards, certificates, publications, and other supported documents.

Additional services, such as DNA preservation and digital 3D memorial features, may be available with the Infinity plan or as separately specified services.

Yes. RIP.GD supports document uploads in supported formats, including PDF. You can preserve diplomas, certificates, patents, digitized manuscripts, and family archives.

Additional processing or preparation services may be available if you need help combining, enhancing, organizing, or preparing documents for upload.

Yes. RIP.GD can be used to prepare and reserve a memorial for a living person. The memorial is not published while the person is alive. Instead, you select the Reserve option rather than Publish.

A reserved memorial can be prepared in advance with photographs, videos, documents, biography, family history, and other information. It remains hidden until the owner or an appropriately authorized person takes the applicable action to publish it.

This allows families to prepare a digital legacy in advance without making the memorial publicly available during the person's lifetime.

Yes. You may create and fully prepare a memorial for yourself or a loved one during your lifetime. Photos, videos, documents, biographies, and other materials can be added in advance.

For a living person, the memorial remains in Reserve status rather than being published. It is hidden from public view until the applicable publication process is initiated.

For Infinity plan members, Digital Legacy services may also allow the owner to designate a Trusted Contact or provide documented instructions for what should happen to the memorial after death. Any activation or publication is subject to the applicable verification procedure, instructions, plan terms, and applicable law.

Published memorials remain available according to the terms of the selected memorial plan, our Terms & Conditions, and applicable service conditions.

RIP.GD is designed to support long-term preservation of memories, family history, and digital legacy. However, no online service can guarantee uninterrupted availability under every possible circumstance, and preservation is subject to the applicable plan terms, technical requirements, and applicable law.

Account owners may also designate a Trusted Contact where this feature is available. For Infinity plan members, the Digital Legacy program is designed to support long-term or permanent preservation according to the applicable plan terms and the owner's documented instructions.

You have control over the available privacy settings:

• Public access: The page is visible to all visitors and search engines.
• Access via link / QR code: The memorial is only visible to those who have the link or who scan the QR code at the physical monument.
• Hidden mode: The page is only visible to the creator of the memorial.

Availability of individual privacy options may depend on the memorial's status, plan, and current platform functionality.

Yes, where the feature is enabled, visitors can interact with a memorial through the memory wall. They may leave words of support, share memories, and send virtual gifts or tokens of respect.

Memorial owners may have moderation or management controls depending on the available features and memorial settings.

RIP.GD allows you to set and manage schedules for supported memorial and account features. Depending on the feature, you may select important dates, reminder times, or other scheduling preferences.

Scheduled settings may be used to trigger email reminders or automated service notifications related to memorial dates, scheduled events, account activity, or other Platform features.

You can review or change available schedule and reminder settings from your account. The options available may depend on the memorial, your plan, and the specific feature.

Each published memorial has a unique link that can be shared through messaging services, social networks, email, or other communication channels.

The system can also generate an individual QR code that can be printed or used on a physical QR plaque for a gravestone or monument.

Yes. The account owner can normally edit or update a memorial and may request its deletion, subject to the memorial's status, applicable plan terms, account permissions, and our policies.

For information about personal data deletion, see our Data Deletion Policy. Deleting an account or memorial does not automatically create a refund for services that have already been provided, activated, published, or consumed. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy and applicable law.

Social media platforms are primarily designed for communication, news sharing, and day-to-day interaction. RIP.GD is a digital memorial and legacy preservation platform designed to organize and preserve biographies, photographs, documents, family connections, and memories.

Unlike social media, where content is often temporary and mixed with constantly changing information, RIP.GD focuses on remembrance, family heritage, and the structured preservation of personal history for future generations.

Where available, the physical DNA preservation service is offered as part of the Infinity plan or as a separately specified service. It is intended to preserve a biological sample as part of a family's long-term legacy.

• Physical preservation: A DNA sample may be collected using an applicable collection method and transferred to a qualified third-party preservation provider under the terms of the DNA service.
• RIP.GD's role: RIP.GD may maintain the digital information necessary to associate the preservation service with the relevant memorial and to support the owner's documented instructions.
• Not a medical service: RIP.GD is not a medical or genetic institution and does not provide medical diagnosis, genetic counseling, DNA sequencing, or genetic analysis through this service.
• Third-party provider: Physical preservation may be performed by a specialized third-party provider. The specific provider, storage arrangements, collection procedures, and applicable terms may vary depending on the service available at the time of purchase.

DNA preservation is strictly governed by the DNA Preservation Agreement, as well as applicable provider requirements, privacy policies, and applicable law.

Where the DNA preservation service is available, the accepted sample types depend on the collection kit, preservation provider, and applicable service requirements.

Depending on the service, collection methods may include:

• Buccal (cheek) swabs.
• Saliva samples collected using an approved preservation container.
• Hair samples where the preservation provider accepts them and the required biological material is present.
• Approved DNA collection cards or other collection materials specified by the preservation provider.

The applicable DNA collection kit will include the instructions and packaging required for the selected preservation service. Customers should follow the provider's instructions exactly to protect sample integrity during collection and shipment.

A Trusted Contact is a person you authorize to assist with your digital legacy according to your documented instructions and the applicable RIP.GD verification procedure.

You may designate a Trusted Contact through your account where this feature is available. If the account owner dies or another qualifying event occurs, the Trusted Contact may assist with the memorial or digital legacy according to the owner's instructions, applicable permissions, verification requirements, and plan terms.

A Trusted Contact does not automatically receive unrestricted access to the entire account, Wallet, private information, or all stored data. The scope of any authorized action depends on the permissions and instructions established by the account owner and the applicable RIP.GD procedures.

For Infinity plan members, the RIP.GD team may be designated to assist with Digital Legacy administration where this option is available. In such cases, our staff will follow the owner's documented instructions and applicable verification procedures rather than acting as an unrestricted account holder.
