About RIP.GD

A memorial you can walk through. A memory that outlives us all

Our Mission

Every life tells a story worth keeping. Our mission is to give families a dignified, lasting place to honor the people they love — a space where memories, stories, photographs, and family history can be preserved and passed from one generation to the next.

Traditional memorials are bound by stone and distance. RIP.GD extends remembrance into the digital world, giving family members and friends a place they can reach from anywhere and at any time.

What Makes Us Different

RIP.GD combines digital memorials with tools designed for long-term remembrance and family legacy.

A Walkable 3D Cemetery

Instead of limiting remembrance to a flat web page, RIP.GD offers a walkable virtual cemetery where memorials can have a physical place within a digital environment. Visitors can explore the cemetery, find individual memorials, and experience remembrance as a place rather than simply a page on a screen.

Time Capsules

Preserve a message, photograph, or video for a future date. Time Capsules are designed for memories that are meant to be received later — such as birthdays, anniversaries, family milestones, or messages for future generations.

Connected Family Ties

Memorials can be connected to related family members, creating a navigable family history across generations. Instead of a static family tree, these connections can lead directly to the individual stories and memorials of family members.

QR Codes for the Graveside

RIP.GD connects physical remembrance with digital memorials. A QR code can be placed on a gravestone or monument so visitors can use a smartphone to access the corresponding memorial page.

Digital Legacy

Account owners can designate a Trusted Contact and document instructions for their digital legacy. Where the feature applies, the Trusted Contact may assist with the memorial according to the owner's instructions, applicable verification procedures, and plan terms.

DNA Preservation

Where available, the Infinity plan may include access to DNA preservation services designed to preserve biological heritage alongside a person's digital story. Physical biomaterial preservation may be performed by a qualified third-party provider under the applicable service terms.

Our Story

We began with a personal goal: to build a lasting tribute to our own family — a place where stories, achievements, photographs, and memories could be preserved beyond the limits of physical distance.

What started as a family idea grew into a broader memorial and digital legacy platform. Every feature we add comes back to the same question: how can we help keep a person's story available to people who may never have had the opportunity to meet them?

A Complete Life Archive

Photos, Video & Documents

Build a comprehensive life story with photographs, video links, uploaded video files, documents, certificates, letters, records, and other supported materials in one organized memorial.

Tributes & Remembrance

Where enabled, friends and family can leave messages, share memories, and send flowers or other virtual tokens of remembrance on the memorial.

Flexible Preservation Plans

Choose the preservation period and features that fit your needs: Basic (10 years), Legacy (100 years), or Infinity (designed for long-term or permanent preservation), subject to the applicable plan terms.

Our Values

Long-Term Preservation

We build RIP.GD with long-term preservation in mind, with infrastructure and services designed to help families maintain their digital legacy for many years to come.

Privacy & Security

We take the protection of personal information seriously. Privacy controls, security measures, access controls, and appropriate backups are used to support the protection and availability of stored information.

Dignity

We aim to keep memorials respectful and appropriate. Our platform is designed around remembrance rather than advertising, distraction, or unnecessary noise.

Accessibility

Memorials are designed to be accessible from computers and mobile devices, allowing families and friends separated by distance to remain connected to the people and stories they remember.

Compassion

We approach memorials with sensitivity and respect for the people being remembered and for the families and friends who preserve their stories.

Legacy

We help families preserve more than names and dates — including stories, photographs, family connections, documents, and, where available, biological heritage.

Our Commitment to You

When you trust RIP.GD with the memory of someone you love, we take that responsibility seriously:

  • Stability: We work to maintain reliable technical infrastructure and services designed for long-term operation.
  • Support: We provide assistance with account, technical, and service-related questions.
  • Moderation: We work to keep memorial spaces respectful and to address inappropriate or abusive content in accordance with our policies.
  • Transparency: We publish our plans, pricing, terms, refund rules, privacy practices, and other applicable policies so you can understand the service before using it.

Built on Solid Technology

  • Performance-focused infrastructure for fast and reliable access.
  • Security measures designed to protect accounts and stored information.
  • Support for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
  • Scalable storage for photographs, videos, documents, and other supported memorial content.

Technology and infrastructure may evolve as the platform develops. No online service can guarantee uninterrupted availability or immunity from every technical or security risk.
