Biography

Born May 14, 1902, in the village of Chkalova, Zaporizhzhia.
He was married to Ksenia Afanasivna. She bore him three daughters: Nadya, Nina, and Valya.
A military man, he commanded a tank division, then served in reconnaissance. He received awards, but suffered injuries that later proved fatal. A couple of decades later, he became paralyzed. He suffered for two years until his death.
He is buried in the Eastern (Youth) Cemetery in Zaporizhzhia.
