Biography

Serhii Oleksandrovych Solomianyi was born on October 5, 1990, in Zaporizhzhia. From childhood he was known for his calm character and dedication to work. He studied at Secondary School No.60 and later at the Zaporizhzhia Aviation College, where he received his qualification as a smelter of metals and alloys. He continued his education at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, but the war prevented him from completing his degree.

Serhii worked at the strategic enterprise “Motor Sich,” where he applied his professional skills with responsibility and precision. Colleagues remembered him as reliable and hardworking, always ready to help others. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends, who valued his kindness and sincerity.

He built a family life in his native city. Serhii married and became a father, cherishing his role as a husband and parent. His daughter was only ten months old at the time of his death, a loss that left a deep wound in the hearts of his loved ones.

On December 29, 2023, tragedy occurred when Russian forces launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. One of the rockets hit the “Motor Sich” plant, destroying the workshop where Serhii was working. He was killed instantly along with five of his colleagues.

He was buried in Zaporizhzhia, the city where he was born and lived his entire life.

Serhii Solomianyi is remembered as a devoted son, husband, and father, a skilled worker, and a man whose kindness and dedication touched many lives.
