Biography
The artist Robert Kuzovkov, known to the world as Semyon Skrepetsky, was a figure whom no system could stomach.
A native of the Altai region, he left Russia for Poland in 2021, realizing that his views would only lead to persecution back home.
His "skrep-realism" was more than just caricature; it was a slap in the face to the establishment.
Skrepetsky ruthlessly targeted everyone: from the upper echelons of the Russian government, including Putin and Kadyrov, to the "sacred cows" of the opposition.
He was not afraid to go against the current and criticize even Ukrainian officials, which earned him a spot in the "Myrotvorets" database.
Beyond painting, he tried everything: writing post-apocalyptic books, performing trap music as MC Screp, and running a satirical blog.
Any system is deathly afraid of such grassroots art because it strikes straight at the target, leaving no stone of authority’s pretension unturned.
And as they say, anyone can offend an artist, but the consequences of such "offenses" can be fatal.
On June 15, 2026, in Biala Podlaska, this became clear: Skrepetsky was gunned down in the street.
Everything points to this being a reprisal specifically for his principled stance, his provocative caricatures, and his refusal to remain silent when others chose to turn a blind eye.
