Biography

Oleksandr Vladyslavovych Sierostanov was born on February 26, 1987, in the city of Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region. He grew up in his hometown, where he completed his education before pursuing studies at the National Aviation University in Kyiv. His professional life was dedicated to aviation: for more than a decade, he worked as an engineer responsible for maintaining airworthiness in the aviation group of the airline “Aerosvit.” Known for his reliability and professionalism, Oleksandr combined technical expertise with a calm and steady character.

When Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022, Oleksandr volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He later transferred to the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians, serving as a communications specialist. His comrades valued him as a dependable soldier whose work ensured the unit’s connection and coordination in the most difficult conditions. His call sign reflected his quiet strength and resilience, qualities that made him indispensable to his battalion.

On July 18, 2022, during combat near the city of Toretsk in Donetsk region, Oleksandr was killed in action.
His death was a profound loss to his family, friends, and fellow soldiers, who remembered him as a courageous defender and a man whose dedication to duty never wavered.

Oleksandr Sierostanov was laid to rest in his native city of Kamianske.

His memory endures as that of a devoted son of Ukraine, a skilled professional, and a fearless warrior.
