Biography

Serhiy Shapoval was born on July 5, 1977, in the city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, where he lived his entire life.
Having completed his secondary education, Serhiy graduated from School No. 17 in 1992. He later continued his studies at the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy (ZSEA), where he studied Electronic Systems from 2002 to 2007.
Serhiy was a man of exceptional cheerfulness and joyful disposition. He was always distinguished by his openness, kindness, and was known for his integrity, invariably standing on the side of justice. He was never afraid of any work: his professional experience included working as a truck driver delivering goods, a manager position at the company "Zaporizhzhia English Club," and later, running his own business.
With the start of the full-scale war with russia, Serhiy made the decision to stand up for the defense of his family and his Homeland. He was killed in action on November 19, 2024, becoming a hero and the ultimate manifestation of his responsible character.
Serhiy Shapoval was laid to rest on November 29, 2024, at Osypenkivske Cemetery in Zaporizhzhia.
The memory of Serhiy - as a loving son, brother, husband, and father, and a courageous defender—will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones and friends.
