Biography
Nataliia Anatoliivna Rohozna was born on October 29, 1972, in the city of Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia region. She spent her entire life in her hometown, where she became head of the local branch of Ukrposhta. Dedicated to her work, she ensured that residents received pensions, letters, and essential services even under the most difficult conditions.
During the full-scale invasion of Russia, she continued working for nearly a year without electricity, later relocating operations to basements under constant shelling. Her commitment was recognized in 2024 when she was awarded the Ministry of Defense distinction “For Assistance to the Defense.”
Nataliia was known as a caring and compassionate person. She raised a daughter and enjoyed gardening in her free time, especially growing flowers. She loved animals and was always ready to help those in need.
Despite the closure of the Orikhiv Ukrposhta branch in February 2026 due to escalating danger, she chose to remain in her native city, unwilling to leave her home and community.
On March 8, 2026, tragedy occurred. While in the yard of her house, Nataliia was caught in a Russian drone attack. Rescuers pulled her from the rubble, and doctors fought for her life for four days. On March 12, her heart stopped.
Nataliia Rohozna was laid to rest in Zaporizhzhia. She is survived by her mother and daughter. Her family, friends, and colleagues continue to cherish her memory, remembering her as a devoted parent and a woman of strength and kindness.
