Liuda‑Aldona Matrokhina was born on March 12, 1949, in the town of Šilutė, Lithuania. In 1986 she moved with her family to Ukraine, where she settled in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Over the years she worked in different fields, including as a laboratory assistant, accountant, and at a dairy plant, later continuing in trade. She was known for her diligence and her readiness to respond to the needs of others, often engaging in community activities.
Liuda‑Aldona had a deep love for animals and cared for many of them throughout her life. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening, creating beauty around her home for neighbors and passers‑by. Friends and family remembered her as a woman of kindness, strength, and generosity, someone who could unite people around good deeds and who shared her warmth freely.
On November 17, 2025, sorrow came unexpectedly. During a Russian artillery attack on the city of Nikopol, Liuda‑Aldona was killed.
She left behind two daughters, two granddaughters, and a great‑grandson. Liuda‑Aldona Matrokhina is remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, a woman of compassion and resilience whose life was filled with care for others and love for the world around her.
