Biography

Volodymyr Serhiiovych Koliada was born on April 20, 1985, in the city of Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk region. He grew up in his hometown, where he completed his education and later studied at the Kryvyi Rih Aviation College of the National Aviation University. In civilian life, Volodymyr worked in various professions, including as an underground locomotive operator at a mine, a security guard at “SkhidGZK,” and later at the company “COMFY.” He was known for his broad interests and erudition, able to engage in conversations on many topics. His greatest passion was football. A devoted supporter of Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukrainian national team, he followed the sport with remarkable knowledge, recalling matches, scores, and players with precision. He also enjoyed volleyball, computer technology, and gaming, which he combined with his professional and personal life.

In March 2023, Volodymyr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. He held the position of rifleman and assistant grenadier, fighting under the call sign “Shchedryk.” His comrades remembered him as a calm, reliable, and dedicated soldier who carried out his duties with courage and determination.

On July 3, 2023, during an assault near the village of Orikhovo-Vasylivka in Donetsk region, Volodymyr was killed in action.
His sacrifice was deeply felt by his family, who remembered him as a loving husband and father, and by his comrades, who honored his bravery and loyalty.

Volodymyr Koliada was laid to rest in his native city of Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk region.
His memory endures as that of a devoted son of Ukraine, a passionate sportsman, and a fearless defender whose life and sacrifice will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones and his nation.
