Biography
Bohdan Oleksandrovych Dronnikov was born on September 9, 1997, in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at Kryvyi Rih National University, where he earned a master’s degree in occupational safety. In civilian life, Bohdan tried different professions, searching for his true calling. He was passionate about cars, military history, and collecting weapons, but above all he focused on self-development, constantly striving to improve himself.
When Russia launched its full-scale invasion, Bohdan joined the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 13th Operational Brigade “Khartia,” where he held the position of senior gunner in the rocket artillery battery. His comrades knew him by the call sign “Dron,” a name that reflected both his determination and his role in the unit. He quickly earned respect for his discipline, charisma, and strong sense of responsibility.
On May 13, 2024, during a combat mission near the village of Ruska Lozova in Kharkiv region, Bohdan was fatally wounded in an enemy drone strike.
His sacrifice was recognized with the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class, and the Badge of Honor “For Services to the City,” 3rd Class, awarded posthumously.
Bohdan Dronnikov was laid to rest in Kryvyi Rih, at the Kramatorske Cemetery.
He is remembered as a devoted son of Ukraine, a loyal comrade, and a courageous protector of Ukraine who served his homeland with honor and strength.
