Later, he became part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a machine gunner in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Koshovyi Otaman Kost Hordiienko. His call sign was “Den.” Despite never having served in the army before, he volunteered without hesitation, driven by a strong sense of duty and patriotism.
