Biography

Serhii Petrovych Mykhailov was born on April 3, 1986, in Kyiv. From childhood, he was drawn to sports, playing football and practicing hand-to-hand combat. His discipline and determination led him to study at the National Academy of Internal Affairs, where he prepared for a life of service.
In civilian life, Serhii worked at the private enterprise “Komservis-Bezpeka,” combining professionalism with responsibility. He was remembered as a man with a kind heart, a sense of humor, and many friends.

When Russia launched its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, Serhii did not hesitate to defend his homeland. Together with his brother, he gathered a group of patriotic volunteers and joined the 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. Serving as a machine gunner under the call sign “Kinder,” he fought in the liberation of Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. His courage and resilience were evident in every mission, and even after being wounded, he continued to serve with unwavering dedication.

On March 25, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Dibrova in Luhansk region, Serhii was killed during an enemy artillery strike.

For his bravery and sacrifice, he was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class.

Serhii Mykhailov was laid to rest in Kyiv at the City Cemetery. He is remembered as a devoted son, a loving husband, and a proud father who cherished his family deeply. His comrades respected him as a reliable fighter, and his loved ones honored him as a man of integrity and kindness.

The memory of Senior Soldier Serhii Mykhailov lives on as a reflection of courage, loyalty, and selfless service. His sacrifice will forever remain in the hearts of the nation he gave his life to protect.
