Biography

Artem Anatoliiovych Lebid was born on November 9, 1999, in the village of Martynivka, Chernihiv region. He began his education in his native village and later completed secondary school in Bilmachivka. Artem continued his studies at the Pryluky Agrotechnical College, where he trained first as a gas welder and later as a driver. After fulfilling his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he worked at “Natasha Agro” and later at the Fozzy Group distribution center, where he proved himself as a diligent and responsible employee.

When Russia launched its full-scale invasion, Artem was mobilized in September 2022. He served in the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Air Assault Forces, holding the position of gun commander in an artillery platoon. His comrades valued his courage, discipline, and readiness to help others. Known for his kindness, sincerity, and resilience, Artem became a trusted friend and a source of strength for those around him.

On August 26, 2025, during combat near the village of Serebrianka in Donetsk region, Artem was killed in action.

His sacrifice was recognized with several honors, including the Presidential distinction “For the Defense of Ukraine,” the honorary badge “Golden Cross,” and posthumously, the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class.

Artem Lebid was laid to rest on September 2, 2025, in his native Martynivka.

He is remembered as a devoted son, loyal comrade, and fearless defender of Ukraine. His life, though short, was marked by integrity, bravery, and selflessness. His memory endures in the hearts of his family, friends, and fellow soldiers, a lasting testament to his deep devotion to the homeland.
