Ihor Mykolaiovych Dulko was born on January 26, 1996, in the town of Velyki Mosty, Lviv region. From a young age, he showed determination and a strong sense of responsibility. From 2002 to 2014, he studied at the Velykomostivka Secondary School. After school, he entered the Faculty of History of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
When war came to Ukraine, Ihor chose to defend his homeland, interrupting his studies to volunteer for military service.

He underwent training at the Momot Border Guard Training Center and, beginning in the spring of 2016, served in the Mukachevo Border Detachment. By February 2017, he was already holding the position of junior inspector of the 1st category in the Kramatorsk Border Detachment, where he proved himself as a disciplined and capable serviceman. His dedication and professionalism earned him the rank of sergeant.

On March 17, 2018, while performing his duty near the “Maiorske” checkpoint in Donetsk region, Ihor tragically lost his life when a grenade detonated in a frontline shelter. His sacrifice was deeply mourned by his comrades, family, and community.

Ihor Dulko was laid to rest on March 22, 2018, in his native town of Velyki Mosty.

Posthumously, he was promoted to the rank of senior sergeant by order of the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. For his courage and devotion, he was awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class, by Presidential Decree, as well as the honorary title “Hero of Velyki Mosty Territorial Community.”

His memory endures as that of a young man who gave his life in defense of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Ihor remains a symbol of bravery, loyalty, and sacrifice, forever remembered by his family, comrades, and the people of his homeland.
